How Fast Do Electric Dirt Bikes Go?

Top speed on an electric dirt bike depends on voltage, motor output, gearing and rider weight, so treat every published figure as a best case on flat ground. The numbers below are what these bikes realistically do, and they range across an entire order of magnitude.

The fastest bikes we sell: the Stark Varg SM at around 80 mph and the Altis Sigma MX at 70–80+ mph lead, followed by the Talaria Dragon at 70 mph, the Sur-Ron Storm Bee at 68 mph and the Talaria Komodo at 66 mph. The mainstream 50–60 mph band is where most riders actually want to be: the E-Ride Pro SS and Segway Xaber 300 at 60 mph, the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee HP at 56 mph, the Talaria Sting MX5 Pro at 55 mph, the Sur-Ron Hyper Bee at 50 mph and the Light Bee X at 47 mph. These are fast enough to be genuinely exciting off-road.

Youth and kids bikes are deliberately much slower, and that is the point: the STACYC range runs 7.5 to 17 mph, and Razor Dirt Rockets from 8 mph (MX125) to 17 mph (MX650). On dirt, 14 mph feels quick to a ten-year-old — do not buy speed a child has not earned.

Speed is the least important number when choosing. Weight, ride modes, seat height and where you can legally ride all matter more day to day.
