What maintenance does an electric dirt bike need?
Far less than a gas bike — no oil, filters or spark plugs. You clean and lube the chain, check brake pads and tyre condition, keep bolts torqued correctly, and store the battery properly. A stand, chain lube and a torque wrench cover most of it.
How do I clean an electric dirt bike safely?
Use a gentle cleaner spray and a low-pressure hose or bucket — never a pressure washer aimed at the battery, connectors or bearings. Dry it, then relube the chain. High-pressure water forced past seals is the most common self-inflicted damage we see.
Why do I need a torque wrench?
Electric dirt bikes vibrate and see hard impacts, and both loose and over-tight bolts cause failures. A torque wrench from $39 lets you tighten to the manufacturer’s spec rather than by feel, which protects threads and keeps critical fasteners — axles, brakes, controllers — secure.
