Electric Dirt Bike Riding Gear & Boots
The clothing that makes a full day of riding comfortable and adds a layer of protection: MX jersey and pant combos, off-road boots, hydration packs and base layers, in adult and youth sizes. Boots in particular are worth not skimping on — ankle protection is one of the most common injury gaps we see.

Riding Gear & Clothing — Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need dirt bike boots?
For anything beyond gentle riding, yes. Off-road boots protect your ankles and shins from impacts, the bike and the ground, and stiffen your foot against twisting injuries that ordinary shoes will not. They are one of the higher-value protective purchases after a helmet.
What should I wear on an electric dirt bike?
A full-face helmet and goggles, gloves, an MX jersey and pants, knee protection and off-road boots is the standard kit. The jersey and pants add abrasion resistance and comfort; the boots and knee guards do the real protective work alongside the helmet.
Is youth riding gear worth buying if they will grow out of it?
Yes — ill-fitting adult gear does not protect a child and puts them off riding. Youth-specific jerseys, pants and boots from $49 fit properly and cost far less than adult kit. Buy for the current size and hand it down or resell when they grow.
