Sur-Ron Light Bee X vs Ultra Bee HP

The Sur-Ron Light Bee X is the lightweight icon: around 110 lb, 10 kW, 47 mph and endlessly upgradeable. The Ultra Bee HP is a full-size machine at 187 lb with a 21 kW HairPin motor, 74V/60Ah battery, 56 mph and considerably more suspension travel. They share a badge and very little else.

Choose the Light Bee X if you ride tight trails and single-track, need to lift the bike into a truck alone, or want the deepest aftermarket in electric dirt biking. Its low weight forgives mistakes in a way a full-size bike simply does not, which matters more than peak power for most riders.

Choose the Ultra Bee HP if you ride open terrain, want a bike that handles aggressive enduro without feeling out of its depth, or you are a larger rider who finds the Light Bee cramped. The extra $1,500 buys real capability, not just numbers.

On running costs they are close, but the Ultra Bee’s larger 74V/60Ah pack costs more to replace — around $1,799 against roughly $1,499 for the Light Bee X pack. Factor that in if you are buying used or planning a long ownership.

Both are off-road / OHV use only unless certified street-legal in your state. If you are genuinely torn, think about where you ride most rather than what you might ride someday — tight trails reward the Light Bee, open ground rewards the Ultra Bee.
