They share a badge and an aftermarket, but they are genuinely different machines — a nimble lightweight versus a full-size enduro bike — and the right answer depends entirely on where and how you ride.

The Light Bee X: 10 kW peak, 72V/35Ah, around 47 mph, 40-mile range, and 110 lb. The Ultra Bee HP: 21 kW peak with the HairPin motor, 74V/60Ah, around 56 mph, 55-mile range, and 187 lb. Both are sold for off-road and OHV use only; neither is street legal. The L1e version of the Light Bee is the only Sur-Ron with a road-legal certification path, and even that depends on your state.
Weight is the real difference

The Ultra Bee HP more than doubles the Light Bee’s peak power and adds around 40% more range from its larger 60Ah pack.
